Care Show Birmingham 2026 · Hall 3

Scan a real medicine pack with us in Birmingham.

Thanks for coming to see us in Birmingham.

We're at Care Show Birmingham on 7 and 8 October. Book fifteen minutes with the team and watch a whole medication round happen on eMAR — the prescription read for you, the pack scanned at the bedside, the controlled drug countersigned, and a warfarin dose that won't be given without a current INR.

In fifteen minutes

Six things we'll show you — on a real round, not a slide deck.

Prescriptions, read for you

Upload a prescription and eMAR drafts each medicine, dose and time onto the chart — for a person to check and confirm, never instead of one.

Scan-to-give at the bedside

Scan the pack and the dose is checked against the resident, the medicine and the time before it can be signed. The server re-checks the scan, not just the phone.

A pack you've never seen

Point the staff app at an unfamiliar box and see what's inside — the medicine and its active ingredient, matched against the NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices.

Controlled drugs, countersigned

Choose a controlled drug and eMAR already knows its schedule — it asks for a second member of staff to countersign, so nobody has to remember to.

Warfarin and insulin, charted properly

Warfarin won't be given on an out-of-date INR: record the reading and it unlocks, let the review lapse and it locks again. Insulin gets its own chart, with blood glucose beside every dose.

Your pharmacy, in the loop

The pharmacy sees the MAR chart before the medicines arrive, tracks each delivery to the door, and prints the chart you need — PRN, controlled drugs, this cycle or next.

From the floor to the office

Given at the bedside. On the chart straight away.

The carer scans and signs on the floor; the office sees it on the MAR chart the moment it happens, with a name and a time against every entry.

The MAR chart grid: each row a medication and dose time, each column a day, with ticks for given doses.
The MAR chart, filled in by the round itself.
  • One outcome per dose — two carers can't both sign for the same 08:00 tablet
  • Every MAR code — given, refused, in hospital, asleep, self-administered
  • No new hardware — staff scan with the phone they already carry
The staff app on a resident's round: one medicine to give and a Scan and give button.

Who it's for

Worth fifteen minutes of your show if you're…

A care home manager

See how the MAR chart, the audit trail and the evidence CQC asks for come out of the round itself.

A nurse or medication lead

Try scan-to-give, PRN reasons, controlled drug countersigning and the warfarin INR check with your own hands.

Running more than one home

Ask us how a rollout across your group would work, and what each home's manager would see.

A community pharmacy

See the pharmacy portal and driver app — charts before delivery, driver runs and proof of delivery.
